I agree with Diana but your comment- Blake – just comes off as being a tad ignorant considering that you are generalizing about “people” as if race was the only factor determining how you chose your close friends, because yes, you chose them and they chose you. While racism is a reality and helps in explaining the phenomenon you describe it is by no means the only factor and I personally have close friends, a wife and a family that I consider to be close to me and I can confide in, with about 4 different ethnic backgrounds. Who you chose does say something about you but not having any friends of another race does not automatically make you racist. Neither does it mean you are not. In fact it may just be a consequence of the bio- or sociological impulse to stick with what you know / or think you know best. If someone has a problem with a show and pointing out flaws or offensive content whether it’s realistic or not, that – to me – would be a compliment, if I made the show. hey – here we are havin a conversation about a real issue.aside from entertaining you I’d say 9 outof 10 good writers want to tell a story or raise an issue.. Peace.

Right on Diana! Couldn’t agree more about Girls. The show is funny, people should just watch and laugh. If it is racist to make a realistic show about white girls in NY that don’t have close friends that aren’t white, then our society is too PC to accept art that reflects reality (namely, that many people don’t have close friends of a different race), and I want no part of it.

This sports entertainment designation is annoying. And we don’t call them wrestlers. They’re superstars and divas. I could call myself part-time supermodel/part-time international crime fighter. That doesn’t make it true. But seriously, talk about missing the point of niche markets. Ironically, wrestling is ripe for a comeback. Boxing has lost all credibility, UFC has tried but isn’t taken seriously; wrestling could use this to it’s advantage.

Andy was so amazing in the first season (and definitely could have stepped up to reflect the new emotions of Spartacus this season) that it’s unfortunately impossible for anyone to ever come close to filling his shoes. Liam is doing a decent enough job, but agree he needs more action.
