  7. Um wow, I’m guessing the New York Bar has been loosening the fitness and conduct requirements for lawyers :) Anyhow, I know that you hate poor people Matt, but really, why do you want them all to be sick? The economies of scale and other efficiencies of a single payer health system will save far more money than and cost savings generated by private sector competition. Also, because of the very nature of communicable diseases, when poor and middle class people are sicker it create negative externalities for even those people who can afford the best care. When the guy coughing next to you on the street has TB, that’s bad for you no matter what sort of insurance you have. Also, the rationing argument is bogus, just take on the AMA and expand the types of services that nurses and other medical providers can perform. You don’t need 4 years of med school for a lot of the things that only doctors are legally permitted to do in this country. All right, I know this thread is way to serious for this show, so let me end by responding in the tenor your segment was originally produced: Your Mom!

    • Are you a Mailman public health student?

  8. this is actually a pretty cool thing
